![]() In the late 19th century, as the Joseon Dynasty was nearing its end, the dynasty's long-held isolationist policy was replaced by one of open trade. Since then, Incheon has evolved into a prominent international port city. Incheon, with a population of 2.6 million in an area of 958km2, has emerged as a trade hub in Northeast Asia. Cargo ships from all around the world dock at Incheon port. Ferry services are also available here, linking Korea to neighboring Chinese cities including Tianjin, Shanghai and Weihai, and this has contributed to vigorous coastal exchanges between China and Korea. Incheon International Airport which opened on March 29, 2001 is an advanced mega-scale international airport, serving 100 million passengers per year. It has emerged as a transportation hub in Northeast Asia, becoming a center of international logistics. ![]() Location: Munhak-dong, Nam-gu, Incheon Capacity: 50,256 seats (sports complex) Completion Date: December 2001 Features - Stadium roof covers 100% of the seats; high-tech electric scoreboard - Oval-shaped 2nd tier balcony; various accommodation facilities - Construction began in July 1994 and completed on December 2, 2001 Accommodation(name of hotels/number of guest rooms) Two deluxe hotels (Songdo Beach/200, Paradise Olympos/175), five first-class hotels (Royal/113, Galaxy/75, Charis/73, New Star/57, Kosmos /43), four second-class hotels and four third-class hotels Directories Tourist Information Service Tourist Information Hotline: +82-1330 Incheon Comprehensive Tour Information Center +82-32-760-7434, Incheon International Airport Tourist Information Center +82-32-743-0011 Dept. of Sightseeing Promotion of Incheon City +82-32-440-3312~3 Sightseeing Association of Incheon City +82-32-884-4590 Incheon Tourist Information Center +82-32-831-0848 Incheon International Airport Passenger Terminal Information Center +82-32-883-3068 Sinpodong Tourist Information Center +82-32-773-3900 Incheon Terminal Tourist Information Center +82-32-430-7257 Wolmi Island Tourist Information Center +82-32-765-4169 Battle Fields of Ganghwa Tourist Information Center +82-32-933-2178 Incheon Station General Tourist Information Center +82-32-760-7434 amdo Tourist Information Center +82-32-421-5628 ONE-STOP Service www.hodotour.com Tourism and Reservation Service Sites for Transportation and Sightseeing Tours in the 10 Host Cities www.tour2korea.com / www.lifeinkorea.com / www.korea.net Transportation Incheon Bus Terminal +82-32-430-7114 Ganghwa Bus Terminal +82-32-934-3447 Incheon International Airport +82-32-741-0104 Dong Incheon Station +82-32-772-7788 Bupyeong Station +82-32-503-7788 Incheon Station +82-32-772-0788 Jaemulpo Station +82-32-883-7788 General Hospitals Inha University Hospital +82-32-890-2455 Incheon Red Cross Hospital +82-32-812-8200 Gachon Medical School Ghil Medical Center +82-32-460-3114 Inha University Hospital +82-32-890-2114 Budget Accommodation Reservation Service More detailed information is available on the following wehsite: Website: http://www.inpia.net (Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese) E-mail: Leems@inpia.net Tel. +82-32-440-3311-4 | |||
